Year 2019: The scholarship program saw over 75 lakh applications, out of which more than 60 lakh students were awarded scholarships. The total amount disbursed was approximately INR 4,150 crores.
Year 2020: There was an increase in both the number of applications and the amount disbursed, with over 80 lakh applications and INR 4,300 crores disbursed.
Year 2021: The trend continued with around 85 lakh applications, and scholarships worth INR 4,500 crores were distributed to over 70 lakh students.
Year 2022: This year marked a significant rise in applications, crossing the 92 lakh mark, and the total disbursement amount reached INR 4,750 crores.
Year 2023: The latest data shows an increase in both the number of applications and disbursements, with over 95 lakh students applying and INR 5,000 crores being distributed.
