Selection Process for B.E. Programs at NCET

1. Entrance Exam Performance

Candidates aspiring to secure admission at NCET must appear for either of the two major entrance examinations:

Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET): 

• Conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA), KCET is the primary entrance exam for students who wish to seek admission through the government quota in Karnataka-based engineering colleges.

COMEDK UGET (Undergraduate Entrance Test): 

• This is a national-level entrance examination conducted for non-Karnataka students or those applying through the COMEDK quota. It provides an advantage & opportunity for students across India to gain admission into private engineering colleges in Karnataka.

• For KCET candidates: KEA conducts a centralized counseling process, where students register, verify their documents, & participate in seat allotment based on their KCET rank.

• For COMEDK candidates: COMEDK follows a similar counseling process, allowing students to choose their preferred colleges & branches based on their rank & seat availability.
