Cutoff Criteria for Commerce Stream

This course is suitable for those students who have an interest in a business career along with finance and economics. There are two major combinations of subjects: 

1. EBAC (Economics, Business Studies, Accountancy, Computer Science)

• The National College minimum percentage: Minimum marks of 60% aggregate class 10.

• Range of Cut off: 65% - 75%.

• Additional Requirement: Candidates should have a flair for computer science and sharp logic.

2. EBAS (Economics, Business Studies, Accountancy, Statistics).

• Eligibility: The candidate must have a solid mathematics background and a minimum of 60% aggregate percentage.

• Cut-off Range: 65% - 70%.

• Additional Requirement: Students who want to work in finance and data analysis are recommended to have an interest in statistics and analytical skills.

Cut off percent for Arts stream.

The arts stream is available to students who are interested in Humanities Social science and creative areas. National College focuses on two main course combinations in Arts:

1. PESL (Psychology, Economics, Sociology, Logic)

• Eligibility: a minimum of 55% aggregate in 10th grade.

• Cutoff Percentage: 60 % - 65%.

• Additional Requirement: This course is suitable for the student who has interests in psychology, sociology, and analytical thinking.

2. HESL (History, Economics, Sociology, Logic)

• The National College minimum percentage: Aggregate score of 55% or above at 10th.

• Cutting Range: 60% - 65%.

• Additional Requirement: Interests in history, economics, and social science would help the students better in their pursuit of careers and economics. 

How to Prepare for Cutoff Marks

The cut-offs are indeed very essential to get admission into college mainly for competitive streams like Science. Here are some tips from the perspective students' perspective:

1. Focus on core subjects: 

• Focus on core subjects relevant to the chosen stream, for example, Science and Mathematics for science stream aspirants, or Mathematics and Business Studies for Commerce.

• Sports Quota: Sports quota is reserved for the students who have represented at the state, national, or international level in sports. The student should provide verified certificates or awards to take the benefit from the sports quota.

• Differently-Abled Quota: A student with a registered disability can apply under this quota with a disability certificate from a recognized health authority.

• Category-Related Booking: Students who belong to SC, ST, and OBC categories need caste certificates in addition to having eligibility as per the government guidelines.

The number of seats in a course is limited, so the students from the reserved category are advised to apply soon and ensure that all their documents are correct and current.
