Sir MV PU College: The eligibility criteria for the admission of students into this college depends on the stream selected by the student. This college further supports the Pre-University Board constituted by Karnataka with the following requirements:

Science Stream: 

• For Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology: Candidates must have passed 10th grade, SSLC, or equivalent from a recognized board with an aggregate mark of 60% and above. Good knowledge of Science and Mathematics must be possessed.

• For PCMC (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science): Same eligibility as for PCMB, but this time with an affinity to Computer Science.

Commerce Stream:

• Students must have passed the 10th standard (SSLC or equivalent) with 50% aggregate marks. 

• Students must have studied Math and/or Business Studies in Class 10, although this is not a mandatory criterion.

Humanities Stream:

• Students must pass out from 10th Std with at least 50% marks. 

• Students from all three streams, that is, Science, Commerce, and Humanities, passed in their previous schooling are eligible to apply for Humanities.
