SVET College of Pharmacy Cutoff Details - NEET

Pharmacy colleges such as SVET College of Pharmacy offer pharmacy-related courses, including B.Pharm, Pharm.D, and Post Baccalaureate Pharm.D (Pharm.D PB). Although NEET is specifically for MBBS and other medical courses, some pharmacy colleges like SVET College of Pharmacy may institute NEET scores for pharmacy admissions. However, it varies from state to state and how the institutions in the respective states are framing their policies.

Generally, the NEET cutoff at SVET College of Pharmacy is applied primarily in the B.Pharm and Pharm.D courses. Below is a general overview of the cutoff entry for these courses

1. NEET Cutoff for B. Pharm:

Although the Karnataka Common Entrance Test, KCET, is largely used for admissions to B.Pharm in Karnataka, SVET College of Pharmacy may also count the score of NEET. NEET cutoff varies from one candidate to another depending upon the applicant category in which the candidate is falling. The reserved seats differ according to the category of General, OBC, SC, and ST categories.

NEET Cutoff Scores  (General Trend)

  • General Category: The cutoff marks generally vary from 250 to 300 marks.

  • OBC Category: Mostly above 220 to 250 marks.

  • SC/ST Category: Generally falls within the mark range of 180 to 220.

NEET B.Pharma Cutoff Factors:

  • Exam Difficulty: NEET would be tough if it carries a relatively lower cutoff.

  • Number of Seats: The B. Pharmacy cutoff tends to follow the number of seats available.

  • Category Reservations: In the case of OBC/SC/ST candidates, lower cutoffs are generally allocated due to seat reservations in the above respective categories.

2. NEET Cutoff for Pharm.D

Pharm.D is a six-year doctoral course offered by SVET College of Pharmacy consisting of both academic and clinical training. While some colleges do accept NEET scores for admissions to Pharm.D. The below table and link contain NEET cutoff scores for Pharm.D (General Trend).

  • OBC Category: Usually falls in the range of 200 to 240 marks

  • SC/ST Category: Scores range between 160 and 200 marks.

Determinants of NEET cutoff for Pharm. D:

  • Demand for Pharm.D Programme: If the number of aspirants for Pharm.D increases then the NEET cutoff also tends to increase.

  • Clinical Training Seat Availability: The number of clinical training seats may also determine the cutoffs.

  • The trend of Entrance Exam: The toughness of NEET every year determines the cutoffs.

3. SVET College of Pharmacy Cutoff for NEET Cut-off for Post Baccalaureate Pharm.D (Pharm D PB)

This Pharm D PB is a three-year program for the students who have earned the degree of B. Pharm before admittance. NEET score might be taken into consideration by SVET College of Pharmacy though GPAT is highly preferred.

NEET Cutoff Scores for Pharm.D PB General Trend:

  • General Category: This can vary between 200 to 250 marks.

  • OBC Category: This can range from 180 to 220 marks.

  • SC/ST Category: Cut-offs usually come in the range of 150 to 180 marks.

NEET Cut-Off Factors for Pharm.D PB:

  • Area Demand: Higher demand for the Pharm.D PB may lead to an increase in cut-offs

  • Reservation Category: Cut-offs tend to relax in the case of reserved categories like OBC/SC/ST

  • Pattern of NEET score distribution: The General NEET score pattern every year matters in the determination of cut-offs.
