BGS Institute of Management Studies(BGSIMS) was established in the year 2007 under the banner of Sri Adichunchanagiri Shikshana Trust ® to build enthusiastic quality professionals in the field of Management and Commerce.

Admissions - Undergraduate Courses

• Application for Admissions should be in the prescribed form issued by the Office of Admissions. Application folders are issued from the college office for a nominal fee payment.

• Applications should be submitted personally by the Candidates. Only complete Applications will be processed.

• One photocopy of each of all relevant certificates is to be submitted along with the application form. No original certificates should be attached to the application form. Reservation Category candidates must submit a photocopy of the caste/category certificate and the Application form.

• The Applicant should be present for admission along with the Parent / Guardian.

•  All Original Certificates along with six passport-size and four stamp-size photographs should be produced at the time of admission.

The Admission Process includes Payment of Fees, and Campus Culture Briefing.

Admissions are subject to approval from Bangalore University.

Fee Regulations :

• Fees once paid will not be refunded.

• A student joining the college after the commencement of the academic year shall pay the full fees for the year.

• Students are required to pay fees for the next higher class on the date and time intimated to them by the College Office.

Documents Required:

Along with the application, one copy of each of the relevant documents mentioned below must be submitted. At the time of the admission interview, all the originals along with another set of photocopies of the same have to be produced.

Transfer Certificate from School/College Last Attended

The Transfer Certificate (TC) is a mandatory document issued by the last institution you attended. It confirms your previous enrollment and academic performance, and that you have officially left the institution. Ensure the TC is duly signed and stamped by the institution's head. ​

Class X / SSLC Certificate

The Class X or SSLC (Secondary School Leaving Certificate) serves as proof of your foundational education and is required for verifying your date of birth, academic performance, and eligibility for further studies. Ensure you have the original certificate along with a few attested photocopies for submission.

PUC or Equivalent Marks Card

The Pre-University Course (PUC) Marks Card or an equivalent certificate is essential to showcase your academic achievements in higher secondary education. It serves as a criterion for eligibility into the selected course. Candidates who studied outside Karnataka should submit equivalent certification recognized by Karnataka’s education board.

Conduct Certificate

It is issued, by the institution where you last studied, as an official record of your conduct, discipline, and character during your last period of study. It must be signed and stamped upon by the head of the issuing institution.

Migration Certificate (For Students Outside Karnataka)

If you have completed your education outside Karnataka, you will need a Migration Certificate. This document, issued by your previous education board or university, ensures that you are eligible to pursue further education under the Karnataka Pre-University system or equivalent.

SC / ST / Backward Class/Minority Certificates from Tahsildar

Students belonging to SC, ST, OBC, or Minority categories must obtain and submit a certificate from the Tahsildar or authorized officer. These certificates verify your community and eligibility for specific reservations, concessions, or scholarships as per government norms.

Passport-Size and Stamp-Size Photographs

You will need six passport-size and four stamp-size photographs for your application forms, ID cards, and other institutional records. Ensure the photographs are recent, clear, and meet the standard requirements for educational institutions.

Eligibility for Admissions

1.10+2 / Pre-University Course / Equivalent

• Candidates must have completed their 10+2 education under a recognized board or institution. This includes Pre-University Courses (PUC) in Karnataka or any other equivalent qualification accepted by Bangalore University.

• Acceptable streams of study include Science, Commerce, or Arts, depending on the course requirements.

• A minimum percentage may be required in the qualifying exam, which varies based on the course and category (General, SC/ST, OBC, etc.).

2. Other Conditions Set by Bangalore University

• Applicants must meet any additional eligibility criteria set by Bangalore University, such as specific subject combinations, entrance exams (if applicable), or minimum cut-off marks.

• Some courses may require passing a university-approved entrance test or interview as part of the admission process.

• Transfer or migration candidates must ensure that their qualifications align with Bangalore University’s equivalence standards.
