Preparation Strategies for JEE Mains 2025

Preparing for the JEE Mains 2025 can be daunting, but with the right strategies, it becomes manageable.

1. Create a Study Schedule

Create and follow the timetable which is more or less the college curriculum but should include the certain hours devoted to each subject and topic. Break your syllabus into manageable sections and set daily and weekly goals. Based on their weightage, the topics are prioritized, and your proficiency in them.

2. Understand the Concepts

Focus on understanding concepts rather than rote memorization. Use books like NCERT textbooks, and reference books, or watch lectures online to get a better understanding.

3. Practice Regularly

Regular practice is essential for mastering problem-solving. Sample papers, previous years' question papers, and mock tests should be used and practiced for exams to know the pattern and difficulty level of the exam. Where possible, try to solve many problems since this will increase your chances of knowing many questions that may be asked.

4. Use Quality Study Material

Choose the right study material and resources. Recommended books include:

  • Physics: Opinion of students: There are many reference books available in the market about physics but my recommendation is “Concepts of Physics” by H.C.Verma, and “Understanding Physics” by D.C. Pandey.

  • Chemistry: Tandon’s “Physical Chemistry” and Morrison and Boyd’s “Organic Chemistry.”

  • Mathematics: Hall and Knight's book named “Higher Algebra” and Sharma's book named “Objective Mathematics”.

Furthermore, there are web-based tutorials and video lectures that allow practicing directly, without distraction.

5. Take Mock Tests

To gauge your preparation level, taking/attending regular mock tests will help you. This is the right time to evaluate how efficient you are, then take the sectors that need improvement, and do mock runs on them. Time yourself during these tests to improve your speed and accuracy under exam conditions.

6. Time Management

During preparation and the actual exam, time management is crucial. Solve questions in a particular time limit to add to one’s speed in solving problems. Countries plan by sections, which means they should divide the time properly to make sure they try several questions.

For more details, take a view on JEE Mains Tips.

7. Revision

Regularly revise the topics you’ve covered. For quick revision, create summary notes or flashcards. Based on your comfort level and importance, the topics can be prioritized. An orderly revision plan helps in erasing dust from memory and ensures as much as you can is retained in your head.

8. Group Study

Consider studying with peers occasionally. It is however important to make sure that the study sessions are not in any way a waste of time.
